My Favorite 2022 Wedding Trends
I honestly cannot believe that 2022 is already coming to a fast and furious close. It’s been an exciting year for the wedding industry because normal life has been somewhat recreated since Covid-19. The past two years have significantly impacted wedding trends because couples realize the importance of quality time spent with loved ones. With that being said, I want to look into some of my personal favorite wedding trends of the 2022 wedding season.
What To Do With Your Wedding Flowers After The Wedding
Florals are beautiful and timeless yet entirely unique for your wedding. You have various options, from fake florals to DIY arrangements or professionally crafted pieces. No matter how intricate your florals are for your wedding, you may wonder what happens to the flowers once your wedding is over. Here are some ideas on what to do with your wedding flowers after the wedding.
Mixed-Gender Wedding Parties
When you opt to have mixed-gender wedding parties, you have more fluidity and inclusivity to choose the people you love most, regardless of identity. It is especially great for queer couples since their loved ones are usually a community that involves people of all identities. Disregarding the gender traditions of a wedding party allows anyone who is important to the couple to be included without worrying about how to follow traditional wedding “rules.”
We Are an LGBTQ+ Safe Space
I want every member of the LBGTQ+ community to know we are a safe space for you. We want to celebrate, showcase, and encourage all individuals of all identities. When you see a post written toward heterosexual norms, it is not meant to exclude you. It’s because of the awareness that these traditions are genuinely influenced by outdated expectations of men and women.
Getting Ready Together as a Couple
Raise your hand if you've been told it is "bad luck" for the groom to see the bride before the ceremony. You spend months planning a day together and are expected to have zero communication in the intimate moments leading up to the altar. For some people, that can be incredibly anxiety-inducing. For many couples, future spouses are our place of calm and comfort. They are one of the only people not bringing more chaos than calmness.
Wedding Regret
I've been married for going on five years, and I regret my wedding. I wish I had been more open to eloping instead of trying to salvage a Pinterest-worthy vision that I knew in my heart would be impossible for me to achieve. Between finances, dysfunctional family, and mental health issues, my dream wedding was never going to happen, and I knew that. I have so much wedding regret because I tried so hard to make things work.
Coffee Themed Wedding
We did a lot of things to make our wedding a reflection of us, and I’m going to share the details of how we brought our coffee shop vision to life throughout our entire wedding. Our first date was at Starbucks, so we thought it would be cute to have coffee elements throughout our wedding.
Here's Your Permission to Have a Sober Wedding
I want to provide you with some creative ideas on how to have a sober wedding that will ensure your day is fun and magical! You don't need alcohol to have a wedding to remember. When choosing to have a dry wedding, make sure to surround yourself with only people who support your decision.
How to Keep Your Peace as a Couple While Wedding Planning
Consider why couples may find the engagement period more intense than dating. You are navigating how to delegate tasks and set firmer boundaries than you may have encountered previously. It is stressful, and stress can wreak havoc on a person’s ability to remain peaceful at the moment. There will be rough moments, but those can most definitely be used to grow as a couple and as individual people.
How to Keep Your Peace While Wedding Planning
Your party and wedding are for you and your partner. I know it’s hard, but you must know how to set boundaries and put what you want first. It is not selfish to want everything about your wedding to be catered to who you are as a person and not what your mom or great aunt wants. These four tips can help you cultivate a plan to have a better chance of relaxing and enjoying the process of planning your wedding! Remember, your peace should be your number one priority.

Micro Wedding vs Elopement | What Are The Differences?
The main difference between a micro wedding and an elopement is that a wedding focuses on the guest experience vs. an elopement focuses more on the couple itself. Although micro weddings concentrate more on the couple than a traditional wedding, it is still a planned party for a group of people. With that being said, there are no rules to elopement. You can plan a party as big, small, intimate, or inviting as you want. It is entirely up to what type of experience you want. Taking elements from both types of weddings is okay to create a party that fits your unique vision. In this space, we invite you to break all the rules that don’t apply to you.
Micro Weddings | What is That & What Are the Pros?
The definition of a micro wedding is a wedding celebration of fifty people or less. Great! This sounds awesome. Now, what does this type of planning does this wedding entail? What considerations and aspects need to be thought about and discussed?
