My Favorite 2022 Wedding Trends

I honestly cannot believe that 2022 is already coming to a fast and furious close. It’s been an exciting year for the wedding industry because normal life has been somewhat recreated since Covid-19. The past two years have significantly impacted wedding trends because couples realize the importance of quality time spent with loved ones. With that being said, I want to look into some of my personal favorite wedding trends of the 2022 wedding season.

Enchanted Garden Weddings

Fairy-Esque spaces have been a bride favorite this year. The natural greenery and intimate setting have allowed couples to have a unique setting that feels magical for everyone in attendance. It is far from stuffy and allows an intimate setting where a couple’s fairy dreams can come true. I personally am a big fan of utilizing nature for a beautiful wedding venue.

Vintage Engagement Rings

As the years go on, the diamond industry is getting more unappealing to younger couples. Check out this post about why diamond rings aren’t a vibe anymore. There are many other alternatives, and I am excited that alternative ring choices are becoming a trend. I wrote a great post about alternative ring choices so you can have a ring as magnificent as you.

Weekday Weddings

As a big fan of nontraditional weddings, I approve of seeing more weekday weddings. This is an excellent option for those planning an elopement or a micro wedding. It is much easier to successfully pull off a weekday wedding when you have fewer guests. It is a great trend to follow, especially if you’re on a budget, because venues and vendors usually have significantly cheaper rates on weekdays. Overall, this is definitely one of my favorite 2022 wedding trends.

Hand Crafted Details

2022 seems to have been the year of whimsical vibes. There were so many people who chose to hand paint portions of their decorations and details that brought their fairy tale to life. I’m a huge fan of incorporating personal art throughout the day!

Alternative Wedding Dresses

Covid-19 changed the wedding industry when it comes to fashion as well. Because couples were forced to marry in small numbers, short dresses have made a massive comeback. Instead of dressing for a show, brides have opted to dress for comfort, and we love to see that. This is definitely one of my favorite 2022 wedding trends because it has been fantastic to see fashion choices being more eco-friendly. We must be more aware of how wedding fashion harms the environment.

Bridgerton

Bridgerton style and colors have been a huge trend in the wedding scene in 2022. Seeing Bridgerton come to life through the Netflix series has influenced brides to opt for romantic, vintage elements. That includes delicate details, handwritten notes, and eloquent floral arrangements. It is beautiful and romantic. It deserves a spot on my list of personal favorite wedding trends.

Flower Saving

I wrote a whole post on what to do with your flowers post-wedding. It’s becoming increasingly popular to save your flowers in one way or another. I cannot love this trend enough.

Georgia Delotz

There were so many different trends for 2022 weddings. Different color palettes and ideas for how to make a nontraditional wedding took the stage this year. It is fascinating to see the shifts in wedding culture. What trends are you looking forward to in 2023? Are you a bride wanting to follow the trends or be completely unique? No matter what, I am absolutely positive your day will be incredible!
