I honestly cannot believe that 2022 is already coming to a fast and furious close. It’s been an exciting year for the wedding industry because normal life has been somewhat recreated since Covid-19. The past two years have significantly impacted wedding trends because couples realize the importance of quality time spent with loved ones. With that being said, I want to look into some of my personal favorite wedding trends of the 2022 wedding season.

Raise your hand if you've been told it is "bad luck" for the groom to see the bride before the ceremony. You spend months planning a day together and are expected to have zero communication in the intimate moments leading up to the altar. For some people, that can be incredibly anxiety-inducing. For many couples, future spouses are our place of calm and comfort. They are one of the only people not bringing more chaos than calmness.

The main difference between a micro wedding and an elopement is that a wedding focuses on the guest experience vs. an elopement focuses more on the couple itself. Although micro weddings concentrate more on the couple than a traditional wedding, it is still a planned party for a group of people. With that being said, there are no rules to elopement. You can plan a party as big, small, intimate, or inviting as you want. It is entirely up to what type of experience you want. Taking elements from both types of weddings is okay to create a party that fits your unique vision. In this space, we invite you to break all the rules that don’t apply to you.

The definition of a micro wedding is a wedding celebration of fifty people or less. Great! This sounds awesome. Now, what does this type of planning does this wedding entail? What considerations and aspects need to be thought about and discussed?
