Let’s Talk About Reverse Wedding Colors!
When planning your wedding, you can choose how traditional or unique to make your wedding. You can break all the rules just because you want to. I have seen a fun nontraditional wedding idea floating around is reverse wedding colors, and I had to share the idea with you guys! The bride/groom/marrier wears color, and the wedding party (and/or guests) wear white or black.
The concept seems so cool to me, especially for those who don’t have a vision of being a traditional bride in white. It would look pretty badass to wear your favorite color and your wedding party in black. Your wedding photos would be unique, that’s for sure. If you decide to forgo a wedding party, wear color and have your guests wear white (unless you get married after Labor Day, of course). There are endless ideas to make this non-tacky and really interesting and different.
Another idea is to wear white for your ceremony and change into something colorful and fun for the reception! You can party in your most vibrant apparel! We love a good outfit change moment. I’m all for encouraging you to express yourselves in bold ways.
Consider a creative veil if you still want a beautiful, traditional bridal moment. Etsy has so many handmade veils adorned with flowers or pearls. You could easily get a creative pop of color while wearing a white gown or outfit. Wearing fun shoes is another way of adding pizzazz to a traditional look.
These are just a few ways to add color to your wedding. There are no rules that you have to stick to white as a bride. Personally, I love color and absolutely wish I had used more of it in my own wedding! Would you be bold enough to wear color on your wedding day? Would you at least have your wedding guests wear all white or black?
