How to Use TikTok to Help Plan Your Wedding
TikTok has made the world of creativity and professional marketing soar. There is content for every person in every stage of their life, including planning a wedding. By searching hashtags such as #weddingtok, #elopementtok, and #weddingplanning, you are bound to see wedding ideas that range from traditional to the wildest elopements.
Weddingtok is a place for professionals, vendors, and seasoned brides to share all the secrets, hacks, DIYS, favorite vendors, and everything in between. Using TikTok to plan your wedding may seem really overwhelming because there is so much information, but I am here to give you a few tips to use the app to your absolute advantage.

Tip 1: Use Area Based Hashtags
Use hashtags that apply to where you’re getting married. If you’re traveling for an elopement or wedding, search #*weddinglocation*weddingvendor or #*weddinglocation*bride. You will find so many options for any style by using location-based hashtags. Hashtags serve the purpose of finding the information you need for your day. These vendors are using these hashtags to be seen by you! Use them.
Tip 2: Remember to Save & Bookmark
Use the save and share tool. Put your favorite wedding tiktoks in a photo album to share with those helping you plan your wedding. It also is helpful to share your inspiration with your vendors. Ensure you let everyone important know what you want for your day.
Tip 3: Share Your Own Journey
If you’re feeling up to it, share your own wedding planning journey! It can be fun to find other friends who are also planning a wedding or inspired by your vision. It can also be fun to look back and see documentation of the wedding planning process.
Tip 4: Make Revisions
Remember, it’s okay to take loose inspiration from what you see online. You don’t need to replicate an idea down to the tiny details. Don’t be afraid to take certain elements and make them more of a reflection of yours. TikTok has given brides so much more liberation than in past times to be rebellious and different. Go against the grain, and it will be celebrated!

Tip 5: Be Realistic in Expectations
My last tip is to be realistic about your expectations. Some of the ideas you’re seeing will be with a completely different budget or resources. Make sure you try your best not to compare what is accessible to you to what you’re seeing while scrolling TikTok. Your day will be beautiful and fabulous, no matter your budget. Plus, there is a huge market for creative, budget-friendly weddings! There is no reason to be embarrassed or sad that your budget is smaller than other creators you see.
