5 Romantic Wedding Color Palette Ideas

Did you know there is an entire scientific explanation for why colors affect us? Our brains naturally react to most colors, which fascinates me! For example, check out our post about having an ethereal-themed wedding when I talk about green evoking feelings of calmness. Wedding colors are one of the most potent elements in setting the mood for your wedding. In day-to-day life, the colors associated with romance are red and pink. However, the most romantic wedding colors are muted and neutral tones such as blush, peach, nude, and grey. Here are five romantic wedding color palettes that are bound to inspire you.

Grey & Pink

This traditional palette is a great starting point for a stunning romantic color palette. This color story is easy to transform by choosing different tones to best fit your personality.

The soft tones associated with romantic weddings pair very well with greenery, which helps create the perfect romantic setting for your fairy tale wedding. However, the beautiful thing about muted tones is that they pair really well with jewel tones. You can easily add a deep jewel color to your palette to add dimension to your day if you need something extra. You make all the rules, and I encourage you to play with colors in a way that inspires you.

Pink & Cream

There is something stunning about adding a rusty beach alongside peach and cream. This pink pallete is a smidge more elevated than the traditional pink and grey.

Cream and Jewel Tones

Use a combination of neutrals and jewel tones for a romantic palette with dimension. These colors are perfect for those needing a deep color to balance the light and airy look.

Neutral colors are an excellent foundation for building a romantic wedding vision but don’t feel limited. You can also have a perfectly romantic day with nontraditional colors. For example, the type of flowers you incorporate can help set the mood. Stay tuned for more posts on different romantic elements. Below are a few traditional and nontraditional romantic wedding color palettes that are a great starting point to get inspired!

Cream & Earth Tones

There is something equally as romantic about insg earh tones alongside pinks. Using a lot of grenery is a great way to lean more into a boho theme while still keeping it natural and romantic.

Neutrals & Blue

Blue is a beautiful way to modernize a traditionally romantic pallet. Light and navy blues can add personality to your wedding colors. Whether you choose a light and airy color theme or bold, you can’t go wrong with blue.

What do you think? What colors do you envision yourself having for your big day? Do you feel pulled toward whites and creams? Do you need a pop of color? Do you love the more green-dominated look? What inspires you?
